At SATLANTIS, we design advanced space technologies to tackle global challenges from above.Our satellites are conceived, designed, and built to deliver reliable, high-performance Earth observation data in demanding orbital environments.As a Linux & AWS Systems Administrator , you will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and continuously improving Linux systems across on-premises and AWS environments.You will contribute to the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of the infrastructure through systems administration, automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.What’s in it for youDevelop your expertise in Linux systems administration, AWS, automation, infrastructure management, and modern technologies within the space industry.Flexible working hours: Join a proactive team where autonomy, innovation, and collaboration drive our daily routine.Private health insurance: Discounts at restaurants on the UPV/EHU campus, plus fresh fruit, great coffee, and a motivating work atmosphere.Your mission will be to administer, maintain, automate, and continuously improve SATLANTIS’ Linux and AWS infrastructure, ensuring reliable and efficient systems operation across on-premises and cloud environments.Linux and AWS infrastructure: Administer, maintain, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Linux systems and services across on-premises and AWS environments.Implement ISMS technical controls and approved hardening baselines aligned with applicable CCN-STIC guides, ENS High-category requirements, and CIS Benchmarks.Manage security patching, vulnerability remediation, and secure configuration throughout the system lifecycle.Automation and configuration management: Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and Bash automation scripts, and manage configuration and automation code using Git.Monitoring, logging, and backups: Configure system monitoring, logging, and alerting.Manage backups and perform periodic restoration tests.Support technical response and remediation during security incidents, and deploy, maintain, and verify the health and coverage of EDR and other security agents across the Linux estate.Maintain system inventories, technical documentation, and operating procedures, and generate technical evidence for compliance and audits.Identify and escalate technical risks to the Head of IT & Cybersecurity, and document and execute system changes in accordance with the organisation’s change management procedures.You hold a Higher Vocational Training qualification, a University Degree, or equivalent professional experience in Systems Administration, Computer Networks, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related technical field.At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Linux systems administration or a similar role.Strong practical knowledge of Linux administration, including systemd, package management, users and permissions, filesystems, logs, scheduled tasks, SSH, and service troubleshooting.Experience with Bash, Ansible, and Git.Working knowledge of AWS EC2, IAM, VPC, Security Groups, EBS and S3.Ability to troubleshoot system, storage, performance and connectivity issues.Fluent Spanish, as the working language, and technical English for documentation and security advisories.AWS certification, such as SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect.Knowledge of AWS security services and experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.Experience with virtualisation platforms such as Proxmox VE, KVM, VMware or similar.Also, Docker and KubernetesExperience with Python scripting.If you’re excited about Linux systems, AWS, automation, and solving complex technical challenges, this is your chance to contribute to the reliable operation of advanced space technologies.

At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Linux systems administration or a similar role. Strong practical knowledge of Linux administration, including systemd, package management, users and permissions, filesystems, logs, scheduled tasks, SSH, and service troubleshooting.
