We are supporting a rapidly growing international energy technology company in the appointment of an OT / ICS Cybersecurity Engineer to help protect its grid-connected battery energy storage sites and associated control systems.Si los siguientes requisitos del puesto y la experiencia coinciden con sus habilidades, por favor, asegúrese de enviar su solicitud sin demora.This is not a traditional corporate IT security position.The role focuses on Operational Technology security: protecting the physical equipment, industrial control systems and communications networks that operate large-scale BESS facilities.You will also ensure that battery sites can communicate securely with the company’s cloud-based Virtual Power Plant platform.Key responsibilitiesSecure communications between BESS sites and the cloud/VPP platform.Design and maintain secure separation between OT and corporate IT networks.Protect SCADA systems, PLCs, RTUs, inverters and other site-control equipment.Configure and review firewalls, VPNs, encryption and access controls.Secure remote access for engineers, operators and approved third parties.Identify vulnerabilities across operational systems and site networks.Monitor OT environments for cyber threats and suspicious activity.Support incident response and remediation across live operational assets.Ensure compliance with relevant industrial cybersecurity standards.Work closely with engineering, software, operations and project-delivery teams.What we’re looking forAt least three years’ experience in OT, ICS or industrial cybersecurity.Practical experience protecting live industrial, energy or grid-connected assets.Strong knowledge of IEC **.Experience with OT/IT network segmentation and the Purdue Model.Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as IEC **, Modbus or DNP3.Experience securing SCADA systems, PLCs, RTUs, inverters or similar operational equipment.Hands-on knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, encryption, access controls and secure remote-access solutions.Ability to assess vulnerabilities and translate security risks into practical technical improvements.Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and operational teams.Desirable experienceBattery energy storage systems.Power generation, utilities, substations, solar, wind or other critical infrastructure.ISO ***** or related security frameworks.Platforms and technologies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Splunk, Dragos, Claroty or Nessus.Secure integration between physical energy assets and cloud-based software platforms.xkdbapoThis is an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for protecting real-world energy infrastructure within a growing international battery storage and energy technology business.
