Job description
The ERP Application Developer is a techno-functional role responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing application components, integrations, and reporting solutions within UCSF’s enterprise ERP systems. The role supports core ERP modules by developing technical solutions while collaborating closely with functional and business teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and support system configurations.
This position works with large-scale ERP environments, focusing on system integrations, reporting tools, middleware technologies, and database development. Responsibilities include implementing ERP enhancements, supporting enterprise integrations such as banking and supply chain interfaces, and ensuring solutions meet institutional standards for performance, reliability, and security.
The developer will also collaborate with stakeholders to estimate development efforts, resolve technical issues, and support ERP upgrades and deployments across the organization.
Work schedule: Onsite presence required on a rotational or alternative basis as determined by management, with occasional attendance at campus events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- 5-7 years of hands-on ERP technical experience supporting enterprise-wide ERP applications.
- 5-7 years of experience designing, developing, testing, modifying, implementing, and deploying ERP solutions at enterprise scale.
- Expert knowledge of ERP Cloud reporting tools.
- Experience with ERP bank integrations, third-party supply chain integrations, and cloud integration patterns aligned with enterprise standards.
- Strong experience writing advanced SQL and PL/SQL queries.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Database.
- Familiarity with AIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with middleware integrations and code libraries/open-source frameworks.
- Ability to estimate development effort, triage issues, and resolve assignments while managing competing priorities.
- Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting deadlines.

- Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field.

- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable
- Asset Management
- Purchasing
- Inventory Billing
- Accounts Receivable
- Project Costing
- Contracts and Grants
