Requirements
Reqs: Masterās degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related & 7 yrs. exp. delivering end-to-end data engineering solutions for manufacturing. Reqs. 7 yrs. exp.: designing & building data models & data engineering pipelines to integrate data; w/ software application development to support manufacturing & automation (i.e. Manufacturing Execution System, inspection systems, systems integration). 5 yrs. exp. w/: programming languages (i.e. C#, HTML), productivity tools (i.e. SQL, Python), & Source Control Systems (i.e. git, CI/CD Concepts). 2 yrs. exp.: w/ Cloud technology or architecture, incl. infrastructure as code (IaaC) to support cluster spinoffs & set up services to aid data processing/machine learning; & using tools & technologies for Workflow Orchestraion & Data Visualization (i.e. Databricks, Python, PowerBI, Tableau, Airflow).

Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. Corning Incorporated seeks Principal DataOps Engineer, IT Manufacturing Analytics to work at its Charlotte, NC facility. Architect, design, develop, & deploy resilient/auto recovery capable data engineering pipelines; utilize various data sources & engineer consumption ready data set to serve data scientists & process engineers; develop solutions that align with FAIR data principles; collaborate on strategic roadmaps for data engineering & big data analytics; work w/ peers to obtain buy in & leverage best practices; support discovery, manufacturing data literacy, & documentation of new manufacturing initiatives.
