Job description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Platform Operations Engineer, DevOps Engineer to support a high-impact space and defense program within a classified environment. This individual will play a critical role in deploying, configuring, and sustaining OpenShift infrastructure while ensuring reliability, security, and integration with mission-critical applications. Day to day, this person will be hands-on with OpenShift platform operations, Linux administration, deployment automation, incident response, and troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues across compute, networking, storage, and platform services. They will serve as a technical escalation point during deployments and operational events, driving root cause analysis, restoring system functionality, and partnering closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and program teams. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven environments, enjoys ownership of critical systems, and can confidently lead technical efforts while collaborating across multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance

  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Systems Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, or related field

  • Hands-on experience with OpenShift
  • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience - Experience with Rundeck for automation, workflow management, and incident response

  • Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or similar automation tools

  • Windows Server administration experience

  • Kubernetes administration certifications (CKA/CKAD)
  • Security+, RHCSA, RHCE, CISSP, or similar certifications

Benefits & conditions

This is a full time onsite in Littleton, CO or King of Prussia, PA with a pay range of $120,000 - $135,000
