Job Title:Senior Salesforce Developer (f/m/d)Business Division:Hexagon MI / WaygateLocation:Barcelona, HybridAbout UsWaygate Technologies is a global leader in industrial inspection and non?destructive testing (NDT) solutions, serving industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy, and advanced manufacturing.The business will soon become part of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, within Hexagon AB - a global technology group specialising in digital reality and measurement technologies that help organisations improve quality, productivity, and sustainability across the full product lifecycle.This integration marks an important step in expanding capabilities across precision measurement and advanced inspection technologies, covering both the external and internal quality of components.This role is part of a key transformation initiative, contributing to the integration and continuous evolution of Waygate Technologies’ business applications within Hexagon’s Global Business Services in Barcelona.Short DescriptionAs a Senior Salesforce Developer (f/m/d), you will work with an international team based in Barcelona to design, develop, and enhance Salesforce solutions supporting Waygate Technologies as part of its integration into Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence.You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Salesforce solutions that support customer, sales, and service processes, while contributing to the successful integration of Waygate systems into Hexagon’s target architecture.Working closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional IT teams, you will deliver high-quality technical solutions, support system integrations, and contribute to the continuous evolution of the Salesforce platform.Job ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and SOQL/SOSLBuild and optimize declarative solutions (Flows, Process Builder migration to Flow, validation rules, Page Layouts) alongside customcodeDesign and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems (ERP, CPQ, middleware) via REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and middleware tools (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi,etc.)Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs; produce technical specifications and architecture diagramsOwn data model design, including custom objects, relationships, and record?level security (sharing rules, profiles, permissionsets)Write and maintain Apex unit tests to meet coverage requirements and ensure code quality/performanceManage deployments through CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Salesforce DX, Gearset, Copado, Jenkins) across sandboxes and productionConduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior/mid?level developersTroubleshoot and resolve performance issues, governor limit conflicts, and technical debt in existingorgsParticipate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives) and collaborate closely with admins, architects, QA, and business analystsSupport release management and change control processes, particularly in multi?org or M&A?driven environments where org consolidation/data migration is involvedStay current on Salesforce platform updates (seasonal releases) and evaluate their impact on existing implementationstionsQualificBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relatedfield6 years of hands?on Salesforce development experience, including at least 3?4 years with Lightning Web CompdelingExperience integrating Salesforce with external systems (ERP, CPQ, CRM add?ons) via APIs and middlewareSolid understanding of Salesforce security model (sharing rules, roles, profiles, permission sets, field?level security)Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD deploymenttoolsFamiliarity with Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud configurationCertifications: Platform Developer I required;
