Software Developer, Entry job in Atlanta

This position serves as an application developer responsible for project work and end user support for the Ellucian application suite. Enhancements to the Student Information System are developed using a range of technologies, including Pro*C, SQL, PL/SQL, Java, Groovy/Grails, API based integrations, the Eclipse development framework, and other web technologies, with all data maintained in an Oracle database environment., The Software Developer, Entry level follows established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and adheres to IT best practices and standards, including the use of Git for source code version control. The role also includes providing technical support to functional business analysts to resolve end user issues, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction., Develop student information system enhancements using the desired technology solution while following industry standards. Debug existing enhancements as needed to support business analysts in resolving end-user issues. Adhere to team coding standards to provide uniform solutions. Participate in code reviews with other developers during each release cycle for cross training.

A strong understanding of database, design, and development logic and constructs. Partner with project management and functional teams to align development activities with project milestones and timelines., This position is on-site Monday through Friday. This is not a supervisory position. This position does not have any financial responsibilities. This position does not require a purchasing card (P-card). This position may require travel to attend off-site meetings and/or training. This position does not require security clearance.
