Cyber Security Analyst

GovCIO LLC seeks a Cyber Security Analyst to protect mission-critical Defense & Aerospace systems within our IT & Cybersecurity team. In this role, you’ll monitor networks, investigate threats, perform incident response, and drive vulnerability remediation in alignment with NIST and DoD standards. You’ll collaborate with engineers and program teams to harden systems, support ATO efforts, and deliver clear security reporting. • Investigate security incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate containment and recovery
• Conduct vulnerability scans, analyze findings, and support system owners with remediation plans
• Implement and validate security controls aligned to NIST, RMF, and Do
• D/IC standards
• Create clear incident reports, dashboards, and metrics for technical and executive stakeholders
• Support ATO/assessment efforts through evidence collection and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT and engineering teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
• Contribute to automation and process improvements for monitoring, incident response, and compliance
• Stay current on emerging threats, TTPs, and tools relevant to defense and federal environments
• Participate in on-call rotations and support after-hours incident response as needed
