Job description

Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and optimize scalable, secure infrastructure supporting our telecommunications and media platforms. You will architect cloud and on prem solutions, automate deployments, and ensure high availability for mission-critical applications used by dealers and consumers worldwide. Partner with product, security, and development teams to drive reliability, performance, and observability. You’ll mentor engineers, contribute to standards and best practices, and help shape innovative systems that power leading brands like Autotrader, Kelley Blue Book, Manheim, and Dealertrack in a collaborative, people-first culture., * Design and implement scalable, secure cloud and on-premises infrastructure for telecommunications and media platforms.

  • Ensure high availability, performance, and disaster recovery for mission-critical systems.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation for provisioning and configuration.
  • Collaborate with software, security, and network teams to deliver reliable, integrated solutions.
  • Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and observability for proactive incident detection.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide Tier 3 support for production systems.
  • Harden systems and enforce security best practices, IAM, and compliance standards.
  • Optimize cost, capacity planning, and performance across environments.
  • Contribute to architectural roadmaps, standards, and documentation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices within the team.
