OSP Fiber Designer/GIS Specialist - FTTH Drafter AA

We are seeking experienced FTTH Fiber Designers to support a large-scale, federally funded rural fiber expansion program. This is one of the largest fiber infrastructure initiatives in the company’s history, with aggressive build timelines and strong production expectations. This is a production-focused design role ideal for experienced fiber professionals who can ramp quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Receive completed designs and field redlines Update and correct network designs Incorporate construction redlines Create as-built documentation Perform design corrections and adjustments Run ETL/validation processes Review for critical errors before submitting downstream Maintain GIS records and database accuracy Utilize ArcGIS Pro (Arc Pro) for fiber network design and mapping Follow established engineering and design standards Collaborate with Senior Engineers on assigned territories Transition to independent design production within 4–6 weeks, About the Opportunity We are seeking experienced FTTH Fiber Designers to support a large-scale, federally funded rural fiber expansion program. 3+ years of direct FTTH design experience or Telecom GIS (fiber-to-the-home required) Hands-on experience using ArcGIS Pro Strong understanding of outside plant (OSP) fiber network design Experience meeting production-based design metrics Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment Must provide home office equipment (laptop, dual monitors, reliable high-speed internet) Preferred Experience Rural broadband expansion projects (RDOF, BEAD, or similar federally funded programs) ISP or telecom engineering firm background Experience supporting large-scale fiber builds
