Automation of Tests Python (Programming Language) LabVIEW Test Data Strategies of Testing Hardware Testing Yield Optimization

Job description

Take on a new challenge and apply your electrical engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing, deploying, and optimizing industrial test solutions for traction products, ensuring high-quality manufacturing outcomes. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including industrial/manufacturing engineering, quality, and operations, to align test solutions with production goals, support new product introduction activities, and troubleshoot test-related issues in production environments, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Designing, developing, and implementing industrial test solutions for traction products, including end-of-line (EOL) and in-process testing,
  • Defining test strategies, coverage, and acceptance criteria aligned with product requirements and manufacturing needs,
  • Specifying, selecting, and integrating test equipment, instrumentation, and automation systems,
  • Developing and validating test procedures, fixtures, and hardware setups for production environments,
  • Troubleshooting and resolving test failures to ensure minimal impact on production throughput,
  • Leading the deployment and commissioning of test systems in manufacturing facilities,
  • Optimizing test cycle times, reliability, and repeatability of test systems,
  • Analyzing test data to identify trends, yield issues, and opportunities for improvement,
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on test efficiency, coverage, and robustness,
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including industrial/manufacturing engineering, quality, and operations, to align test solutions with production goals.

Requirements

*Candidates may include new graduates (Electrical Engineering) with internships or up to ~5 years of hands-on experience., We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering - mandatory requirement,
  • Experience or understanding of industrial or production test engineering (preferably in traction, power electronics, or automotive systems),
  • Knowledge of test methodologies, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems,
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality systems, and yield improvement,
  • Hands-on experience with test hardware integration (sensors, DAQ, power electronics, etc.),
  • Familiarity with PLCs, LabVIEW, Python, or similar test automation tools,
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities in a production setting,
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in test data analysis and reporting,
  • Ability to design practical, scalable, and robust test solutions.

Benefits & conditions

Join us on a life-long transformative journey - the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Work with cutting-edge test systems and advanced technologies in traction, power electronics, and manufacturing environments,
  • Progress towards becoming a key contributor in industrial test engineering and continuous improvement initiatives,
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries,
  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues,
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, 401k).

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
