Job Description:TheManager-IT, Europewill be based inMadrid, Spainand will be responsible forday-to-day IT supportincluding the analysis, acquisition, installation, configuration, implementation, modification, and support of computer desktop hardware, operating systems, software, and applications for the entire Nextpower Europe team. In addition to providing hands-on technical support, this individual will act as a trusted IT business partner for the local office-bridging business needs with respective global IT teams and ensuring a high level of service delivery. This role will also drive local innovation and productivity improvements by leveraging automation, scripting, and modern AI tools to streamline workflows, reduce manual tasks, and enhance employee efficiency.The ideal candidate will be a hands-on IT professional who combines strong support fundamentals with a builder mindset. Someone curious and proactive in exploring new technologies, especially AI and automation. Someone comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy, able to balance day-to-day support with longer-term improvement initiativesKey ResponsibilitiesIT Business PartnershipAct as primary IT contact for Europe based teamAlign local business needs with global IT strategy and respective business teams.Advise stakeholders on technology best practicesProvide technical support for desktop/computer definition, purchase, configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrades of computer hardware.Troubleshoot and Configure:Wi-Fi ConnectivityOffice 365, Box.com, OktaDeploy laptops and desktops in a domain environmentInventory and Asset TagGeneral network connectivity, file accessActive Directory account creation and password resetsAV System Support (Zoom)Provides day-to-day desktop support to executive team and assistantsAccountable for the development of and technical support of workstations, printers, etc.Computer and network system maintenance and supportTimely respond to and close all tickets assigned, determining the most effective way to solve those.Ensure that tickets are correctly solved before they are set to resolved stateEnsure that the process and procedures are followedProvide feedback to clients where necessaryUpdate databases to maintain their accuracyExecute the change tasks assigned within the scheduled time frame as plannedProvide effective specialist contribution to the analysis and resolution of problems and known errorsAutomation, AI & Productivity EnablementIdentify opportunities to improve employee productivity through automation and toolingDesign and implement small-scale automation solutions (e.g., scripting, workflows, integrations between tools)Leverage AI tools (e.g., copilots, LLM-based tools, workflow automation platforms) to enhance internal processes and user experienceCollaborate with business teams to understand pain points and translate them into practical technical solutionsRapidly prototype and deploy lightweight tools to solve operational inefficienciesPromote adoption of new tools and provide guidance/training to end usersContinuously evaluate emerging technologies to improve workplace efficiencyProjects & Continuous ImprovementLead or support IT projects and office initiativesIdentify and implement service improvementsDrive continuous improvement through automation, process optimization, and adoption of emerging technologies (including AI tools)RequirementsBased inMadrid, SpainProficientEnglish and Spanish.5+ years of IT desktop supportexperienceStrong knowledge of Windows, Office 365, networking, ADSimilar IT experience in leading regional IT support function working as the point of contactExcellent troubleshooting and communication skillsExperience with scripting or programming (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript or similar) & Familiarity with automation tools and platforms (e.g., Power Automate, Zapier, APIs, workflow tools)Interest or hands-on experience with AI tools and their application in business environmentsStrong problem-solving mindset with a focus on improving efficiency and user experienceAbout NextpowerNextpower is one of the most promising, fastest growing companies in today’s solar industry. Requirements
English and Spanish. 5+ years of IT desktop support experience Strong knowledge of Windows, Office 365, networking, AD Similar IT experience in leading regional IT support function working as the point of contact Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills Experience with scripting or programming (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript or similar) & Familiarity with automation tools and platforms (e.g., Power Automate, Zapier, APIs, workflow tools) Interest or hands-on experience with AI tools and their application in business environments Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on improving efficiency and user experience, Intense collaboration Passionate customer focus Thoughtful, fast, disciplined execution Tenacious commitment to continuous improvement Relentless drive to win Understanding of executive-level support needs Ability to act as a proactive IT advisor Act as a local point of contact for all things IT, infrastrcuture, business systems Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
