Job description

  • Facilitates the Finance Governance framework/processes at the direction of the Data Governance & Rptg Sr Dir and other Finance leaders.
  • Provides quantitative and qualitative analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to decision-makers in order to drive stronger Governance
  • Summarizes analysis into user-friendly deliverables by translating detailed data into business-appropriate communication and recommendations
  • Produce actionable reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement into current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems
  • Ability & desire to learn the business domain supported
  • Applies this understanding towards analysis & deliverables for Data Governance
  • Ability to communicate acquired knowledge within applicable teams, such as Finance and Technology
  • Seeks to understand business process, user tasks, and as necessary, document processes, findings, etc.
  • Implementing best practices, methodologies, standards and processes for Data Governance
  • Takes initiative to design and develop deliverables based on interpretation of findings and business client needs and based on enterprise standards
  • Collaborates with team for speed, agility and innovation in work

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Statistics, Business or related field
  • At least 1-3 years of experience/knowledge in data analysis or data governance
  • Expertise in one or more development or analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, MS Excel, SPSS or other tool. Visualization tooling like PowerBI or Tableau
  • Ability to deliver results and recommendations in written, verbal and presentation form for business and technical audiences
  • Skills in problem solving, research, quantitative analysis and analytical working techniques
  • Strong aptitude and desire for learning new platforms, development, analytic and presentation tools
  • Demonstrated ability to gather information systematically; consider a broad range of issues or factors and use accurate logic in analysis
  • Initiative to independently design and develop own deliverables while still being a team player
  • Ability to manage and prioritize concurrent assignments, and handle ambiguity
  • Creative and innovative in problem solving and formulating solutions
