Job description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Technician to join our dynamic technology team. In this role, you will be the frontline support for our organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and network systems. Your energetic approach will help resolve technical issues swiftly, enhance user experience, and maintain the stability of our IT environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, innovative setting while supporting our team’s technological needs., * Provide technical support to end-users across various departments, troubleshooting hardware and software issues promptly and effectively

  • Assist with computer management tasks including setup, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Resolve software problems related to operating systems such as Windows and macOS, including applications like Microsoft Office and enterprise tools like SCCM and ServiceNow
  • Manage network connectivity issues involving LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and network administration tools like Meraki and Cisco devices
  • Support IT infrastructure by maintaining Active Directory accounts, Group Policy Objects (GPO), Windows Server environments, Linux systems, and network security measures
  • Utilize help desk platforms such as BMC Remedy, Jira, or ServiceNow to track incidents, document solutions, and ensure timely resolution of support tickets
  • Perform routine analysis of system logs and network performance metrics to identify potential issues before they impact operations
  • Collaborate with team members and vendors to support IT projects, deployments, and system upgrades
  • Maintain accurate documentation of technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and inventory records

Requirements

Do you have experience in Software deployment?, Candidates must hold a current CompTIA A+ Certification and be legally authorized to work in the United States., * CompTIA A+ Certification (required)

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Proven experience in technical support with a strong understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Expertise in computer networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN configuration, VPN setup, firewall management, and network security best practices
  • Proficiency with operating systems such as Microsoft Windows (including Windows Server), macOS, and Linux environments
  • Familiarity with enterprise management tools like SCCM for software deployment and updates; GPO for policy enforcement; Active Directory for user management
  • Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) solutions and support for various mobile platforms
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex issues quickly and accurately in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience with remote support tools such as ServiceNow or Jira for ticketing; BMC Remedy for incident management
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure components including switches, routers, DNS servers, DHCP services, TCP/IP protocols, and network security devices like firewalls and Meraki appliances, * IT support: 1 year (Required)
