Job description

  • In this role, you will develop software for highly precise lithography systems and contribute to robust embedded control solutions in a demanding semiconductor environment.
  • You will work closely with experienced experts in software, electronics and system development and help shape technical solutions from implementation to design decisions.
  • Develop embedded control software for next-generation lithography systems - Implement software for bare-metal controllers with a strong focus on C programming
  • Contribute to embedded Linux-based software components where required
  • Support software architecture definition and translate requirements into sustainable technical solutions
  • Create and improve test infrastructure for software verification and validation
  • Analyze technical requirements, runtime behavior and edge cases to ensure reliable system performance
  • Work closely with an agile and highly specialized development team

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering, computer science, control systems, mathematics, physics or a comparable field
  • Strong and recent hands-on experience in professional C software development for bare-metal systems
  • Sound understanding of low-level embedded software concepts, including memory management and hardware-related programming
  • Practical experience in machine-oriented software development, embedded Linux or real-time environments
  • Initial experience in software architecture tasks and in making technical design decisions
  • Good understanding of software design principles and the ability to derive solutions from requirements, runtime behavior and relevant edge cases
  • Experience with Python for test automation is an advantage
  • Ideally, knowledge of FPGA or VHDL
  • Strong analytical skills, a structured way of working and clear communication in interdisciplinary teams
  • You have good command of German and English.
