Senior Software Engineer / Tech Lead

Industrial energy procurement is complex, volatile, and broken-companies manage critical exposure with fragmented spreadsheets and manual workarounds. We are not building another generic reporting layer or AI copilot; we are constructing the core transactional infrastructure that plans, executes, and audits multi-million-euro energy decisions. As our first dedicated senior engineering hire and future Tech Lead, your architectural choices will define the backbone of this platform.

What you’ll do

Full end-to-end technical ownership of core platform capabilities, from data modeling to production operations and engineering standards.

• Architect and implement core domain models for complex energy portfolios, load profiles, contracts, and procurement workflows.
• Ship end-to-end production features across the stack using TypeScript, Next.js, React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
• Transform manual energy operations processes into automated, auditable, and repeatable software workflows.
• Establish rigorous engineering practices for CI/CD, testing, security, observability, and deployments on Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Mentor the engineering team on architecture and delivery while defining technical hiring and code quality standards.

• 5+ years building and scaling production-critical B2B software applications.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript, modern web stacks (Next.js/React/Node.js), and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Proven background in cloud infrastructure, containerization, and modern CI/CD pipelines (ideally Azure).
• Strong architectural instincts around data integrity, granular permissions, and comprehensive auditability.
• Pragmatic builder who balances high-speed delivery with long-term engineering excellence.
• Fluent in English; German proficiency is a valuable plus.
