Secret Cloud Infrastructure Administrator Lvl 5

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Lvl 4 Cloud Infrastructure Administrator to support the design, build, and ongoing sustainment of secure, scalable cloud environments in Microsoft Azure. This is a first shift, onsite position based in Berkeley, Missouri; Seattle, Washington; or Daytona Beach, Florida. This role requires an active U.S. Secret Clearance (active within the past 24 months) and the ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP).

This individual will be responsible for building and maintaining the foundational cloud infrastructure that supports enterprise applications, software toolchains, and digital engineering workloads. The role is heavily focused on infrastructure operations, automation, and reliability - not application development.

This position will work across networking, compute, storage, identity, security, and automation domains to develop repeatable infrastructure patterns and ensure consistent, stable cloud operations.

Active U.S. Secret Clearance (active within the past 24 months); must pass DISC verification prior to submission

Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)

9+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree OR 13 years of experience if no degree

3+ years of experience in cloud computing and infrastructure management

3+ years of experience designing, building, and operating cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure (strong AWS fundamentals acceptable)

3+ years of experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates or Bicep (preferred over Terraform - Terraform is not currently utilized in this environment)

3+ years of experience writing scripts to automate deployment and configuration - PowerShell required; Python and/or Bash strongly preferred

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling (Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar) Azure certifications (Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, etc.)

Experience with Azure networking (private connectivity, DNS, load balancing, hybrid connectivity)

Experience with cloud governance (policies, subscriptions, resource organization)

Experience supporting highly regulated, mission-critical, or classified environments

Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration concepts

Experience designing for high availability and resilience

Experience with cost optimization and cloud resource governance

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field
