Senior Backend Engineer

The backend is where the digital twin either earns its reliability or quietly loses it. As Senior Backend Engineer at WareBee you will own the contracts the product lives and dies by - the ingestion pipelines that turn warehouse data into a model, the APIs, durable storage, background work, and the observability that lets a small team operate them with confidence at 3 am.

WareBee runs on two engines: Physical AI - a living, spatial model of the warehouse floor, its racks, aisles, and movement - and Process AI, which learns how work actually flows through it. Your systems are what keep both fed, fast, and reliable.

What you will do

• Design APIs and data models that are obvious to the next person who touches them
• Build ingestion and background processing that handles large warehouse datasets without losing work
• Pair with frontend and optimisation teammates to ship features end to end
• Make production legible - tracing, structured logs, useful errors, fast recovery
• Push back on complexity that does not earn its keep
