You will provide technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle, guiding teams in the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing applications. This role offers the opportunity to shape technical direction, mentor engineering teams, and contribute to the successful delivery of mission-critical platforms within a fast-paced environment., * Lead the design and development of .NET applications, REST APIs, and microservices that support enterprise business platforms.
• Conduct feasibility studies, effort estimation, technical planning, and solution design activities.
• Oversee all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Analyse complex business and technical challenges and provide effective, scalable solutions.
• Define and implement application architecture, security controls, and development standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, technology teams, and business users to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to developers and analysts.
• Act as a subject matter expert for application development technologies and best practices.
• Ensure development processes, governance standards, and operational procedures are followed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance code quality, performance, reliability, and delivery efficiency.
• Operate with a high degree of independence while managing competing priorities and delivery commitments.

Are you looking to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade .NET applications and APIs?, * Experience in application development, software engineering, or systems analysis roles.

• Strong proficiency in .NET Core and C# development.
• Strong experience with T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server (2019/2022).
• Experience developing REST APIs, WebSockets, and event-driven solutions.
• Hands-on experience with React.js for front-end development.
• Experience with Kafka (Kafka as a Service).
• Experience working with OpenShift, Docker, and containerised environments.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience using source control and development tools including GitHub, Bitbucket, and GitHub Copilot.
• Extensive experience in system analysis, application design, development, and support.
• Proven experience leading successful projects and acting as a technical SME.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to prioritise effectively and adapt to changing business needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience designing and building robust .NET applications and APIs that support mission-critical enterprise platforms.
• Commitment to improving code quality, performance, reliability, and engineering best practices.
• Experience leading development teams as a Team Lead or Technical Lead.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures at scale.
• Exposure to cloud-native deployment and container orchestration environments.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery practices.
• Experience within Banking, Financial Services, or other regulated industries.
