Requirements

The successful Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be a hands-on engineer with a genuine NetDevOps mindset. You will be expected to contribute to design and delivery work quickly, bringing real engineering depth across enterprise networking, firewall technologies, data centre architecture and automation.

You will need proven experience working with the following:

Designing and implementing complex enterprise network infrastructure across data centre, hybrid and cloud environments
OSPF and BGP environments, with strong understanding of enterprise and cloud network patterns
Palo Alto firewalls across data centre and cloud, including Zero Trust and secure network design principles
Data centre technologies including VXLAN, EVPN, VRF segmentation and multi-site fabrics, with experience of vendors such as Arista
Load balancing technologies including F5 BIG-IP (LTM, APM, ASM)
Network automation using Python, Ansible or similar tooling, with an Infrastructure as Code mindset
CI/CD exposure including GitLab and version control practices applied to network engineering
Hybrid cloud connectivity across at least one major cloud provider such as Azure, AWS or OCI

Experience with SD-WAN, Aruba Central or ClearPass, or modernising legacy network environments would be beneficial.

We’re looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (NetDevOps) for our public sector client based in Manchester on an initial 11-month contract paying up to £650 per day inside IR35.
