System Engineer Level 3

MissionEdge is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the administration, automation, security, and performance of critical client/server environments. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining secure, reliable IT infrastructure, implementing automation, and ensuring compliance with security requirements.

This role requires strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a small, mission-focused team that regularly engages with customers and end users to deliver exceptional support and innovative solutions., * Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a Qualified Engineering Field: Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management. Similar or comparable degrees will be acceptable.
• 6 years of system engineering experience.
• Strong System Engineering and System Administration
• Strong knowledge of Security Compliance
• Strong knowledge of networking devices. (Cisco, Juniper, Arista)
• System Administration skills for Windows/Linux
• Familiarity with Kubernetes/containerization
• Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, Centrify, Group Policy, Network Services.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols and patching.
• Communication and escalation of issues to management., May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday., Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.

Candidates are invited to submit their salary expectations along with their application. The compensation for this role will be competitive and is aligned with industry standards, taking into consideration factors such as experience, education, and geographic location. The base salary range for this position is $118,600 to $148,900 (USD), exclusive of any discretionary bonuses and benefits., Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.
