Job description

  • Provide ongoing operational support for the Grid Resiliency portfolio, managing PSPS application build in Palantir Foundry
  • Develop high-quality, modular, reusable code within Foundry Code Repositories and Function Repositories
  • Implement reusable transform logic and shared libraries
  • Manage version control, branching strategies, and code reviews
  • Optimize code for Foundrys distributed execution environment
  • Apply best practices for maintainability and long-term reuse
  • Implement and configure Palantir software solutions
  • Support pipeline and ETL maintenance processes and quality control
  • Maintain ontology access, governance, and change management processes
  • Configure and integrate SaaS and public cloud-based PaaS solutions
  • Develop, configure, integrate, and support application system components including databases, data marts, data warehouses, middleware, analytics, and BI reporting tools
  • Provide architectural governance expertise for Foundry including ontology design, pipeline and DAG execution architecture aligned with Client standards
  • Support application system configuration and third-party access management
  • Develop, enhance, integrate, and maintain workshops, dashboards, pipeline builders, Quiver dashboards, and automations
  • Collaborate with infrastructure providers and enterprise public cloud providers
  • Support integrated service delivery across planning, delivery, and operational support models
  • Perform application maintenance services including enhancements, defect resolution, bug fixes, patch releases, and deployment activities
  • Document and maintain methodologies, policies, processes, OLAs, operational models, and RACIs
  • Ensure compliance with PSPS wildfire guidelines and CPUC standards
  • Support compute agents, hosting infrastructure, and operational services for reliable Foundry operations
  • Maintain expertise in ontology design, governance, pipeline architecture, deployment lifecycle management, and integration patterns
  • Deliver Agile and DevOps-based application maintenance services
  • Optimize application system functionality and operational performance
  • Drive application portfolio optimization and rationalization initiatives
  • Utilize Foundry Resource Management tools to analyze compute consumption, storage utilization, execution costs, and workload efficiency

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree, Technical Skills

  • Software engineering experience
  • Strong full-stack fundamentals with expertise in data platforms
  • Experience designing and maintaining applications
  • Proficiency in Python and TypeScript
  • Understanding of data pipeline architecture
  • Familiarity with Palantir Foundry
  • Ability to independently own technical outcomes
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and occasional off-hours support
  • Root cause analysis and post-incident improvement experience
  • Front-end design experience (Palantir Foundry Workshop preferred)

  • Experience making architectural trade-off decisions
  • Ability to identify and escalate risks early
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills
  • Ability to work through ambiguous problems in live production environments
  • Experience communicating incident status clearly to stakeholders
  • Ability to make high-stakes decisions under pressure
  • Experience supporting complex operational workflows with tight timelines, * Experience in data engineering or related fields
  • Python expertise for data processing and pipeline development
  • Experience with PySpark or Polars
  • Experience with Foundry Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, and Data Connection
  • Familiarity with ontology design and object-based data modeling
  • Understanding of data lineage and impact analysis
  • Experience troubleshooting pipeline failures and performance issues
  • Ability to translate business logic into pipeline implementations
  • Ability to assess downstream impact of data issues and communicate effectively, * Utility industry experience
  • Grid resiliency or PSPS-related experience
  • Knowledge of Client’s business functions and operational environments
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale production platforms and cloud environments
