Hardware Engineer

They’re looking for someone with solid professional experience in embedded hardware or electronics design, who is comfortable getting involved across the hardware development process and can hit the ground running., * Schematic Design

• Microcontrollers
• Hardware Debugging & Fault Finding
• Low Power / Battery Powered Systems

Experience with the following would also be highly desirable:

• Design for Test (DFT) & Design for Manufacture (DFM)
• PCB Design & Layout
• IoT or Sensor-Based Products

Beyond the technical skills, they’re really looking for someone that’s analytical, hands-on and enjoys getting stuck into problems. You’ll be joining a smaller engineering team where everyone has the opportunity to influence products, suggest improvements and take ownership of your work.

In return they’re able to offer a salary from £45,000 - £65,000 depending on experience, alongside the opportunity to work on interesting embedded and IoT products within a growing organisation. Edinburgh-based Tech Organisation are looking for an Electronics-focused Hardware Engineer to join their growing engineering team, working on innovative IoT products that help monitor and protect critical infrastructure.

They’ve recently secured significant investment and are entering a really exciting stage of growth. They’ve already built a strong customer base and have a healthy pipeline of work, so they’re now looking to grow their engineering function to meet demand.

The work is varied and hands-on, with a strong focus on the development and optimisation of their next generation of low-power embedded devices.
