Shopify DeveloperWe are DEPT®, one of the world’s biggest digital agencies, we create, build and deliver digital services for some of the most recognized brands all over the world.As a Shopify Developer you’ll get to build new e-commerce applications for global brands based on some of the latest technologies in the Shopify and React space.With our hybrid working model you will be able to work both from home and from our modern offices in Madrid.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESBuild out e-commerce sites in Shopify and Shopify PlusContribute in the development of open source software, HTML5/CSS/JavaScript, and common web technologies integral to building seamless multi-channel experiencesWorking on mobile, tablet and desktop solutionsPerform regular website testing to ensure functionality, including logging issues, detailing bugs, and making recommendations to PMs of any improvements that can be madeManage website updates, edits, changes, or asset uploads within our content management systemWork with PMs to support new business sales and pitchesKnowledgeable in security / personal data protection principles and GDPRDeveloping testing plans and troubleshooting issues related to eCommerce issuesHelping with website conversion and analyticsMonitoring and managing website uptime and performanceDesigning and testing pages on different browsers/devices/clientsImplement advanced debugging techniques and usage of browser developer toolsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR3+ years experience in Shopify Development, ideally with experience using Shopify Plus3+ years experience in Javascript (React)General experience building, launching and maintaining stores, as well as general knowledge of the admin systemStrong understanding of Shopify 2.0 and working with a made theme and/or Storefront APIExperience with Liquid templatingExperience with implementing/debugging 3rd party Shopify apps as well as creating custom solutions if necessaryExperience with Shopify’s object/properties, AJAX API, and Meta fieldsThorough testing and debugging skills with browser console and external toolsExperience developing for responsive layouts for a desktop, tablet, and mobileExperience working with 3rd party services and APIs, specific plugins for Shopify.WE OFFERFlexible, hybrid working policy (Wednesdays at the office).26 vacation days plus national holidays.Stay happy and healthy with a contribution to your health through the OpenUp platform.Buddy Program: You will be paired with a ‘Buddy’ to help you through your first weeks’ at DEPT®.A reputation for doing good.
