Our novel printhead technology enables professionals to print using functional materials previously deemed impossible.As part of our team you will be at the forefront of additive manufacturing technology, paving the way for the future.Your profileWe are looking for apractical, hands-on Electronics Engineerto join our growing hardware team in Barcelona for systems that require robust, high-performance embedded electronics - built from scratch and validated through deep iteration.This is alab-heavy, tool-in-hand rolefor someone who enjoys not just designing boards butgetting them to work in the real world- probing signals, fixing layout issues, replacing components under a microscope, and rapidly iterating designs.What You ?ll Be Doing:Own PCB designsfrom schematic to layout to bench validation for real-time embedded control systems (MCUs, drivers, sensors)Build,rework, and debug prototype boards- including soldering, hot-air reflow, and patch wiring for last-minute changesSystematically investigate and solve board-level issues using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and signal generatorsCollaborate with firmware and mechanical teams to bring up systems and integrate electronics into functional prototypesPrepare BOMs, layout notes, and clearly documented test reportsValidate electronics in the context of complex systems - identify electrical issues, fix them, and document learningsSupport in-house prototype assembly and iterate quickly between board versionsProvidedesign-for-debuginput and improve testability of production boardsWhat You Bring:A degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent practical experience2-4 years of industry experience working on embedded hardware designsProficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Eagle preferred)Comfort and confidence with hands-on rework: soldering ** passives, reflowing fine-pitch ICs, or patching traces on a prototype boardExperience testing microcontroller-based systems and common interfaces like SPI, I2C, UART, USBAbility to identify and fix signal integrity or power-related issues using test equipmentBasic understanding of embedded firmware flows - able to flash and interact with firmware during bring-upA willingness to iterate, debug, and get hardware into a working, testable stateWhat We Value additionally:Experience with ARM Cortex microcontrollersKnowledge ofEMI/EMC practices, protection circuitry, or certification prepExperience working on motor control, sensor integration, or Ethernet hardwareExposure to test automation or scripting for board validationYou Will Fit Great If:You are a naturalproblem solver and thinker-comfortable probing unknown circuits and figuring things outYou get satisfaction from making hardware work - and even more when you fix something that didn’tYou thrive in environments where prototypes evolve weekly and no two board spins are alikeYou believe hardware development is not done until itworks on the bench and in the proto not just in CADWhy us?Competitive salaryExcellent location near Barcelona, in a very inspiring officeProfessional development and career advancement opportunities in a fast growing new company with unique technologyA truly open-minded and supportive work environment with a high level of employee empowermentFlexible working hoursFree snacks, fruits, coffee and teaAbout usQuantica is an additive manufacturing technology company that has developed its own printhead technology.
