Software Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join a highly technical and collaborative engineering team based in Gorinchem on a Hybrid basis. This is an opportunity to work on complex software systems where modern cloud-native technologies intersect with existing enterprise, embedded, and industrial software environments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing scalable architectures, modernising existing systems, and delivering robust software solutions that support long-term business objectives. Key Responsibilities *

• Design and evolve scalable software architectures that support long-term maintainability and technical sustainability.
• Develop and maintain backend and full-stack software solutions using Microsoft technologies and modern development frameworks.
• Work within complex software environments, including legacy systems, enterprise applications, and embedded software components.
• Build, maintain, and optimise APIs and system integrations across distributed environments.
• Contribute to software modernisation initiatives, including migration projects involving .NET Core and modern .NET architectures.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to define technical solutions and implementation strategies.
• Participate actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure software quality, performance, scalability, and security through best engineering practices.
• Support architectural decision-making and provide technical guidance on complex development projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience as a Senior Software Developer or Senior Software Engineer working on complex software systems.
• Strong expertise in C#, .NET Framework, and modern .NET technologies.
• Experience designing and delivering scalable, maintainable backend solutions.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Experience working within Agile Scrum development environments.
• Ability to work effectively within both modern and legacy software landscapes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for software delivery.
• Fluent in both English and Dutch.
