Solution Architect / Technical Lead

This role will be instrumental in defining how knowledge graph technologies support enterprise search, AI applications, and data-driven decision-making. The Role As a Solution Architect / Technical Lead, you will provide technical leadership for the design and implementation of knowledge graph solutions across the organisation. Key responsibilities include:

• Define and lead the architecture for enterprise-scale knowledge graph platforms
• Work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and technology teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Design semantic data models, ontologies, and graph-based information architectures
• Lead technical delivery across internal teams and external partners
• Drive best practice in knowledge representation, metadata management, and data governance
• Support the integration of knowledge graphs with AI, machine learning, search, and analytics platforms
• Provide architectural guidance on cloud infrastructure, scalability, security, and performance
• Influence technology strategy and roadmap decisions relating to knowledge and AI capabilities
• Mentor engineers and technical specialists while promoting engineering excellence

• Strong commercial experience designing and delivering knowledge graph solutions
• Expertise with graph databases and semantic technologies such as RDF, OWL, SPARQL, or similar frameworks
• Experience developing enterprise data architectures and information management solutions
• Strong understanding of ontology design, taxonomy management, and knowledge representation
• Experience integrating knowledge graphs with AI, NLP, search, or machine learning applications
• Ability to lead technical discussions with both business and technical stakeholders
• Experience working within complex, international enterprise environments
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Previous experience in legal, professional services, financial services, or other knowledge-intensive sectors is advantageous but not essential

• Permanent salary of €100,000 - €140,000 depending on experience
• Alternatively, a competitive freelance day rate for contract candidates
