Desktop Systems Automation Engineer

You’ll provide critical support to internal users, manage systems configuration and deployments, and contribute to automation projects that reduce manual effort and improve reliability across the firm’s IT footprint., You’ll join a global operations team responsible for ensuring seamless daily functioning of core infrastructure and end-user environments. The role combines real-time problem solving, infrastructure maintenance, and technical project delivery, including scripting and automation., * Respond to support tickets and resolve hardware, software, and infrastructure issues across a diverse user base

• Build and configure laptops, desktops, and servers across Windows, Linux, and macOS
• Support domain infrastructure including Active Directory, Group Policy, and access control
• Monitor critical systems, identify risks or outages, and contribute to resolution planning
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (primarily in PowerShell or Bash) to streamline common tasks
• Collaborate with technical teams across the business on infrastructure improvement initiatives
• Document processes, solutions, and troubleshooting procedures for internal knowledge base
• Participate in occasional evening or weekend maintenance and support tasks, * High-impact IT role supporting a globally distributed trading infrastructure

• Strong PowerShell skills is a key requirement, complex scripting from scratch.
• Comfortable working across platforms, experience with Linux/macOS a plus
