Job description

They’re growing in London (with great WFH flexibility) and are looking for a strong GCP and Platform Engineer to join them to support and evolve their Cloud solution, tooling, CI/CD pipelines, automated infrastructure and release engineering.

You’ll manage platforms to ensure reliability, scalability and security and you’ll be able to develop and implement systems enhancements, design new automated infrastructure and implement deployment pipelines in a sophisticated Cloud (GCP) environment as well as researching new tools.

You’ll be part of a central team working to deliver complex projects through agile methods and you’ll need a desire to continually improve your own skills, to look for efficiencies, optimisations, and ways to improve through automation.

Requirements

Experience in a similar DevOps, SRE or Cloud Engineering role
Great knowledge of the Google Cloud Platform - Data Proc, Data Flow, Big Query etc
Experience of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet etc.
Experience with Kubernetes containers (Docker useful too)
Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins
Good understanding of Linux infrastructure
Experience with Big Data and Hadoop would be ideal too
