Job description

  • Design and build full-stack Java applications using modern cloud-native architectures that power Citi’s technology platforms.
  • Write high-quality, testable code and pair with fellow engineers to accelerate delivery and improve solution quality.
  • Break down user stories and acceptance criteria to clarify scope, complexity, and risk for the team’s backlog.
  • Deliver working software each sprint as an active contributor within an agile engineering team.
  • Design and document enterprise-grade applications using current technologies and proven software design patterns.
  • Apply engineering expertise across the software development lifecycle and partner with stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Help define and evolve technical and team standards for engineering delivery.
  • Partner with technical leadership to shape architecture decisions and align delivery with the broader technology strategy., * Use security, observability, and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK, or CloudWatch.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership for engineering teams of 5 or more developers.
  • Bring exposure to database concepts across RDBMS and NoSQL, along with web technologies such as Angular or React.

Requirements

  • Bring 8 or more years of professional experience developing software applications in Java.
  • Apply software engineering best practices such as unit testing, automation, design patterns, and peer code review.
  • Demonstrate a strong grasp of data structures and object-oriented principles using Java.
  • Build cloud-native applications using container orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
  • Design service-oriented and microservices architectures, including REST and GraphQL implementations.
  • Develop applications using frameworks such as Spring Boot.
  • Work with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using tools such as Tekton, Harness, CircleCI, or Jenkins.
  • Deliver software through agile and iterative development practices.
  • Hold a BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience., * Bring architecture experience building horizontally scalable, highly available, resilient, and low-latency applications.
  • Work with cloud infrastructure across on-premise and public cloud environments such as OpenShift or AWS.
  • Apply event-driven design and architecture using tools such as Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
  • Use API management tools to support service integration and delivery.

Benefits & conditions

$125,600.00 - $188,400.00
