Senior Software Architect

We develop top notch, high fidelity flight simulators for a variety of aircraft. We have the technical responsibility for all our simulators. We design, develop, integrate and deliver complex training & engineering simulations to our customers. At the core, our simulations are distributed real-time applications. Most of our software is written in C++. Our team is looking for an additional Software Architect to design and implement a modular, distributed infrastructure related framework which controls and integrates dozens of IT systems from startup, over deployment to shutdown.

• Degree in Computer Science or similar
• At least 5 to 10 years of professional experience required
• Extensive experience in Software architecture, design and development
• Experience in designing & implementing distributed systems
• Experience in using / developing IT Infrastructure related projects (e.g. Terraform, Nomad, Kubernetes, etc)
• Excellent C++ skills, Other programming languages / Frameworks are welcome (Qt / QML, Go, Ansible, Python…)

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Design and Develop the architecture of distributed software & frameworks in the context of Infrastructure & Operations
• Create and ensure excellent testability
• Coordinate closely with other software teams
• Create tools for improving our development processes (e.g. code generators)
• Perform integration and acceptance testing
