As a Senior Software Engineer in the Strategic Index Technology team, you will lead key projects that support our cross-markets index platform. You will work alongside global colleagues in Quantitative Research, Structuring, Trading, Sales, and Middle Office to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will help shape the design and evolution of our technology stack, ensuring our platform remains innovative and efficient. • Collaborate with and influence other technology teams to deliver user-focused solutions
• Design, develop, and maintain applications and software components for the Strategic Index desk
• Partner with business users to understand requirements and prioritize deliverables
• Apply Agile development methodologies to drive projects from inception to production
• Drives adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, incident/root-cause analysis), while establishing measurable validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of proven patterns and automation within the SDLC/TLM toolchain.
• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation at scale.

• Strong technical background in object-oriented or functional programming (Python, Java, C++, or C#)
• Willingness to become proficient and develop in Python
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, well-tested solutions in a controlled environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact confidently with business users and stakeholders
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Demonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching senior engineers/leads on compliant usage patterns and controls.
• Ability to take ownership of deliverables from requirements to production
