Job description
Stackpiercer is seeking a skilled and motivated test engineer for a wide range of products. This role invites career-oriented test engineers with a background in development and networking to team with industry experts tackling the industry’s hardest problems. This position presents the opportunity to engineer tangible contributions to mission-critical tasks, render significant long-term design decisions, and guide the overall project to prosperity and success.
Requirements
Do you have experience in UNIX?, Strong proficiency in Python * Networking knowledge including TCP, UDP, IP subnets, routing, and the OSI model * Development, test, or other engineering experience or familiarity with embedded systems * Familiarity with modern software engineering practices (Scrum, Agile etc.) * Proficiency in configuring networks, endpoints, creation of routes, configuration of interfaces, subnets, etc. * Proficiency in network traffic analysis via tcpdump or Wireshark * Advanced familiarity with Linux and Unix-like operating systems
Desired Skills * Ability to coordinate with customers, interpret and negotiate requirements, and communicate effectively with product stakeholders * Familiarity with version control systems such as SVN or GIT * Familiarity with CM (configuration management) tools such as Puppet or Ansible
