Job description

Here s the latest job spec the key is a heads down coder who is JAVA/Spring Boot and knows a lot about CI/CD. AWS is required as well. I am not looking for a senior level architect or team lead I m looking for a junior going on senior heads down java developer who has recent and good experience., * Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems

Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
Participates in design sessions to drive outcome-oriented solutions regarding architectural designs and technical solutions
Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience working as a Software Engineer
Advanced Java/Spring Boot programming experience
Proficiency in automation and CI/CD methods and tools (Jenkins/Spinnaker)
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies
Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Practical cloud native experience (AWS, Azure)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Experience with and knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
Experience with various testing methodologies (TDD, BDD, Unit, Contract, Component, Performance, Resilience Testing)
Experience with various testing tools and frameworks (Junit, Pact/Pactflow, Cucumber, Karate, JMeter/Blazemeter, Gremlin, Mockito, Wiremock, Hoverfly)
Experience using AI assistants (Copilot, Windsurf, Cursor)
