Senior Backend Engineer (Go) - AI Startup - Up to £120k

We’re working with a fast-growing AI infrastructure startup that has recently passed £10m ARR, is preparing for a major Series A, and is launching a new public-facing product.

The company is building a platform that allows businesses to build, train and control their own AI systems using their own data, offering an alternative to both maintaining complex open-source infrastructure and relying entirely on closed-source AI providers.

The team is now growing its backend engineering function and is looking for exceptional engineers to help solve the next generation of scalability, infrastructure and distributed systems challenges., * You’ll join a small, highly technical Engineering team and have significant influence over the architecture and direction of the platform. The immediate focus is on scaling the infrastructure as the company moves into its next phase of growth

• With the backend team currently small and planning to grow, you’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact on both the technology and engineering culture, working with Co-Founders who have PhDs in the field of ML / AI

You’ll work on problems across:

• Distributed systems
• Scalability
• Reliability
• High-performance data and event processing
• Security
• DevOps

• Backend Engineers with exceptionally strong Computer Science fundamentals who enjoy solving difficult Engineering problems., * 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience with Go
• A Computer Science or similar degree from a top university
• Excellent algorithm and problem-solving skills
• Experience building scalable systems
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup or scale-up with high ownership
• AI-Native skills: curious about AI, uses modern AI tooling, and is excited about where software engineering is heading.
