Temp) Principal Automation Administrator

• Assist in establishing milestones for completion of various systems (MEP, IT, Construction) to allow sufficient time for pre-testing and testing for development and remediation projects
• Oversight on schedules and commissioning scripts for each general contractor, and OFCI supplier leading up to a coordinated program for testing of main OFCI equipment (L1 to L5).
• Assist in the definition of demarcation scopes between OFCI suppliers, GCs and Commissioning agents
• Identify long lead items, and see to their inclusion in the Master Project Schedule in coordination with Project Controls, Construction and Operations including all updates
• Assist in establishing job schedules (on-boarding & close-out ) and implement specific procedures for close-out including submittals of as-builts, O&M manuals and Ops team’s training for Automation related scope
• Assist in organizing shop drawings and submittals schedules for BMS related items
• Review for proper scope coordination among all trades (Engineering, IT, etc.) and ensure that appropriate submittals are exchanged among trades where necessary
• Develop and maintain working relationships with all design teams, construction, integrators, operations and commissioning agents
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned
• Coordinate integration support schedules, allowing for sufficient time to program, test, and commission mission critical control systems
• Examine project documents, including Sequences of Operation, Bill of Materials, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, and project schedules when developing automation logic and visualization applications
• Assist to develop, maintain, train and revise shop drawings and submittals through an approval process, Travel required is expected to be more than 50% but can fluctuate depending on construction schedules

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Industrial automation system commissioning experience is required
• Data Center experience is strongly preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of OSHA laws
• Programme Management experience is preffered
• Knowledge of automation systems (control loops, field IO, etc.) in a mission critical environment
• Experience with industry leading software platforms for SCADA systems is preferred, but not required

The Development & Engineering (D&E) team drives the technology, innovation and new development of data center infrastructure across Vantage’s companywide portfolio. D&E evaluates new sites, drives cost and scheduling in line with corporate goals and serves as subject matter experts across the entire project lifecycle from concept through commissioning. The team collaborates with Sales, Operations and management along the way. D&E also works hand in hand with the Construction team to come up with a vertically integrated design and ensures new and existing standards and designs are executed effectively.
