Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Network & Systems Administrator. This position will be responsible for the implementation, administration, troubleshooting, monitoring, support, and documentation of Nevada State University network and server infrastructure. Essential job functions include monitoring and ensuring operational continuity of mission critical network, telecommunication, virtualization, server, and storage systems; researching, installing, configuring, and maintaining related hardware; providing and managing backup and disaster recovery; providing and managing related security; and working with other Information & Technology Services units to develop end-to-end solutions., * Implement, configure, manage, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and monitor campus network and telecommunication systems.

• Implement, configure, manage, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and monitor campus virtualization, server and storage infrastructure and systems.
• Manage network and datacenter security including configuring, supporting, testing, and monitoring campus firewalls, access control lists, intrusion detection/protection systems, directory services, etc.
• Develop, manage, maintain, test, and monitor disaster recovery and data backup/restoration services for mission critical systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or related field or ten (10) years of professional experience demonstrating equivalent knowledge.
• Five (5) years of experience in network administration, system administration, and information security.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas)., * Experience administering network/server infrastructure in large, complex multi-user environments (primarily on Cisco/Meraki Systems, Windows Environments, Microsoft Server 2016, 2019, 2022, Windows 10/11, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Radius, GPO, Azure AD and Intune, KACE Appliances, Mix of Server Hardware, Dell/Lenovo).
• Experience with server virtualization (Nutanix, VMWare and Hyper-V).
• Experience with scripting and system automation (Windows Environments, Server 2016, 2019, 2022 and Windows 10/11)., Nevada State University does not currently sponsor Visas, all applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Budgeted salary for this position is $77,728.00. Nevada State University offers excellent benefits, including 19.25% retirement match, 24 annual leave days, beginning balance of 30 sick leave days, 12 paid holidays, educational benefits, and three health insurance plans that can be supplemented with flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts.
