Job description

You will design, develop and optimise advanced computer vision solutions using CNNs, Vision Transformers and modern deep learning techniques. You’ll develop customised neural network architectures, training strategies and evaluation methods, while translating state-of-the-art research into production-quality software.

The role will involve building scalable training, validation and inference pipelines, optimising models for edge and cloud deployment, and contributing to software architecture and engineering best practice. You’ll work closely with researchers, software engineers and customers to deliver innovative AI solutions for demanding real-world applications.

Requirements

We are recruiting a Senior AI/ML Engineer with strong computer vision and deep learning experience for a highly technical AI organisation delivering advanced machine learning technologies across Defence, Security and other high-performance environments., * Strong Python/PyTorch development and production AI/ML experience

  • Expert knowledge of CNNs, Vision Transformers and modern computer vision
  • Experience developing custom neural networks, training strategies and AI research techniques
  • Strong software engineering skills including Git, testing and CI/CD
  • Experience with object detection, tracking, segmentation and real-time/edge AI
  • Knowledge of GPU optimisation, Docker, Kubernetes and MLOps
  • Experience with aerial/satellite/ISR imagery and/or Defence environments highly desirable
  • MSc/PhD in AI, Computer Vision or ML or equivalent commercial experience, AI/ML Engineer / AI Engineer / Machine Learning / ML / Computer Vision / Deep Learning / CNN / Convolutional Neural Networks / Vision Transformers / ViT / PyTorch / TensorFlow / Neural Networks / Model Development / Model Optimisation / Object Detection / Segmentation / Tracking / GPU / Edge AI / Real-Time Inference / Python / Git / CI/CD / Docker / Kubernetes / MLOps
