Job description

Our client seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the team and lead design, delivery, and technical strategy for scalable, secure, and reliable data platforms. You will work across the stack, define engineering standards, mentor teammates, and ensure robust execution across the full software development lifecycle while aligning solutions to business objectives., * Deliver large-scale cloud-native data platforms on AWS using REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven applications to achieve scalability and resilience.

  • Work hands-on across Java, Python, Spark, TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, AWS services, event-driven architectures, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Drive performance optimization, scalability, reliability, security, governance, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with global engineering, product management, architecture, and business stakeholders to align solutions with strategic objectives.
  • Own the end-to-end SDLC including requirements, design, development, deployment, observability, and documentation.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of software engineering experience with scalable UX applications and distributed systems.
  • Designing and building REST APIs, microservices, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
  • Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Delta Lake architecture, and modern big data designs.
  • Hands-on expertise in Python, Java, and Angular with knowledge of object-oriented and functional patterns.
  • PySpark and Apache Spark for high-performance distributed data processing.
  • Microservices development with Kubernetes for eventing and serving.
  • AWS services including S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and EventBridge.
  • Messaging and event-driven technologies such as Kafka, SNS, and SQS, and databases including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Aurora, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Redis.
  • Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible.
  • CI/CD and DevOps practices using Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab, Bitbucket, GoCD, and automated pipelines.
  • Robust testing strategies including unit, integration, and regression testing with adherence to best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose and solve complex technical problems.
  • Exposure to Generative AI, including LLMs, RAG architectures, and agentic systems.
  • Nice to have: PySpark with Databricks, Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform, and experience in privacy-safe CDPs or MarTech environments.

Education Requirements:

  • B.E., B.Tech, M.Tech, or MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Rate: $80.00 to $85.00/hr. w2, Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
