Job description

Angelo, Gordon & Co., L.P. seeks an Vice President in New York, Nm,k,m Y to:

  • Analyze and remediate enterprise-wide software issues across existing business applications including Advent Geneva Portfolio Management System, IVP Data Warehouse, IVP Security Master, and other internal and external interfaces.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop business and systems requirements and create data science best practices.
  • Streamline department processes, design and develop software applications, and establish system workflows.
  • Utilize machine learning techniques to identify key features, build and optimize classifiers, and apply advanced data mining methods.
  • Improve data collection procedures, incorporate third-party sources, and cleanse and validate data integrity for accurate analysis.
  • Utilize large language models to extract relevant information from diverse sources, aiding in pricing strategies and risk factor computation.
  • Deliver visualizations using Power BI, providing data analysis support to multiple departments and contributing to overall business strategies.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Scalability?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, * Master’s degree in Financial Engineering, or related field, or equivalent;

  • Two (2) years of experience building scalable data pipelines in Python on Databricks;
  • Two (2) years of experience maintaining and utilizing database and repository tools, including Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake, and Git;
  • Two (2) years of experience querying and manipulating data using SQL;
  • Two (2) years of experience applying machine learning algorithms, including Random Forest and BERT;
  • Two (2) years of experience collecting data through web scraping, reliable sources data gathering, APIs, and working with data vendors;
  • Two (2) years of experience applying data analysis techniques including data mining, cleaning, and visualization;
  • Two (2) years of experience communicating complex data insights to business users through visualizations utilizing tools including Power BI and Dash;
  • Two (2) years of experience identifying patterns and developing solutions in the finance industry by creating precise submissions for regulatory reporting and ensuring accurate fund cash flow allocation;
  • Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
