Job description

Become a subject matter expert on multiple AWS services
Develop, build, deploy, operate, sustain and grow services in cloud production environments
Use trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements
Help develop and refine procedures used by our team and internal customers
Work on new and ambiguous problem domains while consistently delivering customer-impacting change
Operate the worlds most advanced cloud computing infrastructure
Simplify and reinvent systems, processes and tools to improve outcomes for our customers and builders
Build unique solutions to customer technical problems
Study and learn from Amazon Senior and Principal Engineers

Requirements

Experience in site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration
Experience working with Linux
Experience in any of the following: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell or equivalent
Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking protocols such as HTTP and DNS
Experience designing and developing scripts to automate operational burdens and reviewing scripting changes to ensure they meet the standards for maintainability, scalability and security
Experience working in 24/7 production environment
Experience with service-oriented architecture and web services
