  • Develop, maintain and troubleshoot CI/CD processes supporting software engineering teams
  • Administer and optimise key infrastructure services including nginx, Redis and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch
  • Use monitoring and observability platforms including Zabbix, AWS CloudWatch, Pingdom and New Relic to identify and resolve issues
  • Lead investigations into production incidents, carrying out root-cause analysis and implementing preventative improvements
  • Develop automation and tooling with Python and Bash to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes
  • Work closely with development and technical teams to improve system availability, performance and resilience
  • Contribute to infrastructure improvements, security initiatives and general platform engineering projects
  • Take part in a shared 24/7 on-call rota and provide support for critical infrastructure incidents

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience working within DevOps, Infrastructure or Systems Administration positions
  • Extensive hands-on experience administering Linux systems in a live production environment
  • Strong understanding of AWS infrastructure and cloud architecture, including EC2, VPCs and load balancing
  • Practical experience managing web and application infrastructure such as nginx, Apache and Redis
  • Good knowledge of relational database technologies including MariaDB, PostgreSQL and AWS RDS
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain infrastructure through Terraform
  • Experience supporting and managing OpenSearch or Elasticsearch environments
  • Confident writing automation and operational tooling using Python and Bash
  • Previous experience working with CDN and WAF technologies, with Akamai experience particularly desirable
  • Solid understanding of modern CI/CD practices and experience supporting deployment pipelines
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively during production incidents
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with development, infrastructure and wider technical teams

Benefits & conditions

They offer a strong salary of up to £80,000, plus a strong benefits package.

This is a fully remote position, based in the UK.
