Job description

We are looking for a Senior Wi-Fi Test Engineer with strong experience in wireless networking, Wi-Fi protocols, product testing, troubleshooting, and test automation. The ideal candidate will work closely with Product and Development teams to characterize Wi-Fi behavior, identify defects, and drive technical issues to resolution., * Strong understanding of Wi-Fi fundamentals and IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be protocols.

Develop Wi-Fi testing strategies and characterize Wi-Fi behavior in new products.
Identify, reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve product defects.
Review and validate product requirements and design specifications.
Support QA test methodologies and develop effective test strategies.
Work with advanced Wi-Fi test automation frameworks.
Stay current with industry standards and trends from IEEE, Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA), WBA, and IETF.
Collaborate with Product, Development, technology partners, and vendors.
Perform root-cause analysis and drive engineering investigations through resolution.
Support test automation and maintenance activities.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in networking and wireless technologies.
Strong knowledge of: *
Wi-Fi / WLAN technologies
802.11 protocols
Wi-Fi antennas
Frequency coordination
IP protocols
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
Moderate scripting/programming knowledge.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with Wi-Fi product testing and characterization.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

Home networking technologies such as Bluetooth, Matter, Wi-Fi, etc.
Broadband product testing experience.
DOCSIS, Ethernet, and cable modem standards.
Consumer/device product testing experience.
Automated product test environments.
Experience working with technology partners/vendors.
Knowledge of data science tools, scripting, and programming languages.

Education

B.Tech / B.E.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field preferred., A strong candidate should have 5+ years of wireless/networking experience, hands-on Wi-Fi testing, strong knowledge of 802.11 standards, scripting skills, and proven troubleshooting/root-cause-analysis experience.
