Java Developer with Scala and kafka

We are seeking an experienced Java/Scala Engineering Manager with strong expertise in Kafka and distributed systems to lead the development of high-performance, enterprise-scale applications., Lead and mentor a team of software engineers. Design and develop scalable applications using Java, Scala, and Spring Boot. Architect and support Kafka-based event-driven systems. Lead development of enterprise microservices and distributed applications. Drive technical design, code quality, testing, and engineering best practices. Collaborate with product, architecture, and business teams. Participate in system design, troubleshooting, and production support. Manage project delivery, priorities, and technical initiatives. Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to engineers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong hands-on technical background in Java, Scala, Kafka, and microservices, along with proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects., 10+ years of software development experience. Strong hands-on experience with Java and Scala. Strong expertise in Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture. Experience with Spring Boot and Microservices. Strong knowledge of distributed systems and REST APIs. Proven people/team management or technical leadership experience. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills. Experience working in large enterprise environments. Preferred Skills Financial services / banking experience. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Kubernetes/OpenShift experience. Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices. SQL/NoSQL database experience.
