Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks, libraries, tools, and reusable components using modern software engineering practices. \n
  • Develop and maintain automated tests for REST APIs, backend services, microservices, integrations, databases, business workflows, and end-to-end user scenarios. \n
  • Define and implement automation approaches spanning component, contract, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing. \n
  • Integrate automated testing and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines to provide rapid and actionable feedback. \n
  • Improve the reliability, maintainability, scalability, and diagnostic value of automated test suites. \n
  • Monitor and continuously improve test health by addressing flaky tests, unstable environments, coverage gaps, and execution inefficiencies. \n
  • Develop tooling and utilities for test data management, service virtualization, mocks, simulators, fixtures, and environment management. \n
  • Investigate automation and product issues across applications, APIs, databases, cloud services, containerized environments, integrations, and deployment pipelines. \n
  • Partner closely with software engineers to improve application testability and establish effective automated test strategies. \n
  • Create reusable frameworks, documentation, examples, and best practices that enable product teams to develop and maintain their own automated tests. \n
  • Participate in design and code reviews with a focus on quality, reliability, maintainability, and testability. \n
  • Establish and promote standards for automation architecture, reporting, diagnostics, and framework design. \n
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI-assisted capabilities, to enhance test automation efficiency and coverage. \n
  • Collaborate with Software Verification and Quality teams to support regulated verification activities and generate appropriate test evidence when required. \n
  • Perform exploratory or manual testing when it provides greater value or supports product risk assessment. \n

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. \n
  • 6 7 years of experience in software quality engineering, software development, or test automation engineering. \n
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing automation solutions using C#, Java, Python, TypeScript, or comparable programming languages. \n
  • Demonstrated experience designing, building, and maintaining test automation frameworks and reusable testing tools. \n
  • Proven experience testing enterprise-scale web applications, REST APIs, backend services, microservices, integrations, and cloud-native systems. \n
  • Strong software development skills, including object-oriented design, modular architectures, debugging, code reviews, version control, and automated quality practices. \n
  • Experience automating APIs, databases, distributed systems, and backend services. \n
  • Experience implementing automated testing within CI/CD platforms. \n
  • Hands-on experience testing cloud-native applications in containerized and cloud environments. \n
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. \n
  • Excellent written communication, collaboration, and technical documentation abilities. \n
  • Experience working effectively in Agile software development environments. \n, * Strong experience developing automation frameworks within the .NET ecosystem. \n
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern cloud-based testing environments. \n
  • Experience with contract testing, service virtualization, automated test data generation, mocks, and simulators. \n

  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted technologies for automation development, maintenance, or failure investigation. \n
  • Experience developing or testing Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) or other regulated software products. \n
  • Familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and software validation practices. \n
  • Experience producing automated test results suitable for regulated verification activities. \n
  • Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, genomics, laboratory systems, or other regulated industries. \n
  • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing engineering practices across teams. \n
