Cloud Migration Specialist

Seeking an experienced Cloud Migration Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable cloud environments supporting enterprise applications and workloads. This role involves migrating on-premises systems to public cloud platforms, ensuring security, compliance, and performance standards are met. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and modify scalable cloud architecture supporting IaaS and PaaS platforms.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure, highly available cloud infrastructure.
• Plan and execute migration of applications, workloads, and databases to cloud environments.
• Monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure performance, proactively resolving issues.
• Optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud initiatives and develop automation solutions.
• Maintain controls and processes using cloud audit and monitoring tools.
• Support cloud networking, VPCs, firewalls, and related security infrastructure.

• Strong proficiency with at least one major public cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with automation and scripting using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
• Deep understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, and firewalls.
• Advanced experience with virtual machine management and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory administration experience.
• Experience administering Linux environments.
• Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, monitoring, and best practices.
• Troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5-6+ years of experience working with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience supporting government, public-sector, or highly regulated environments.
• Familiarity with cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of cloud governance, auditing, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools.
