Software Engineer - Flask and RestAPI - TS-SCI Full Scope

Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments. Develop simple queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories. Assist in implementing CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment. Develop web applications and REST APIs using Flask. Write or review software and system documentation. Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries. Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components. Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or system engineers, analyzing systems flow, data usage, and resolve problem areas. Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance. Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes. Design, implement and maintain REST APIs to support scalable modern applications. Leverage Atlassian tools (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket) for agile project management. Skill Level 2 (14+ years of relevant work experience) Perform all Skill Level 1 functions. Design or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resources, or interface constraints. Perform quality control on team products. Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards. Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and obtain information on project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces. Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met. Architect and develop REST API to ensure secure, reliable communication between distributed systems. Architect and manage cloud-based solutions.

Desired: Active Full Scope Polygraph and any Data Engineer certification Preferred: AWS certifications

Skill Level 1 (7+ years of relevant work experience) Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements. Debug existing software and correct defects. Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards., 7-14+ years of relevant work experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong customer service skills and ability to work across multiple disciplines. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Ability to work well independently or as a team member. Experience with CI/CD pipeline. Experience using Flask for web application and REST API development. Proficiency in Git. Desired Technical Skills: Experience using tools like Python and SQL. Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or AWS GovCloud.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer programming, engineering, or a relevant technical/analytics discipline.
