Kforce has a client that is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Summary: The DevOps Engineer is responsible for managing the infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems. The candidate works closely with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff members to oversee code releases and deployments, streamline operations, and implement best practices for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD). The DevOps Engineer has a strong background in software engineering, system administration, and a deep understanding of DevOps principles and practices. Job Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the software development process
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth and reliable software releases
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimize system reliability and scalability
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar
- Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Ensure security best practices are followed and integrated into the DevOps processes
- Conduct root cause analysis for production errors and implement preventive measures
- Automate routine tasks to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ensure optimal resource utilization
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure, configurations, and deployment processes
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for production systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Relevant certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, etc.) preferred
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.)
- Knowledge of security best practices and tools
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Proficiency with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Ruby, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
