Core Responsibilities

• Leadership & Collaboration: Partner with the VP of Engineering, product managers, and full-stack teams to strategically prioritize the product roadmap.
• Architecture & Code: Write scalable, testable, and maintainable full-stack code while making critical architectural decisions and evaluating technology tradeoffs.
• Data & Infrastructure: Build robust data pipelines to feed into machine learning algorithms and handle automated deployments/maintenance for web servers.
• Team Management: Provide technical support to the internal team and effectively manage external engineering resources.

We are seeking a talented Sr. Manager of Engineering to lead a dynamic team, make critical architectural decisions, and collaborate directly with the VP of Engineering to build groundbreaking solutions for medical researchers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves solving complex problems, and balances technical excellence with strategic leadership., * Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python / Django, paired with strong full-stack experience (including React or a similar frontend framework).

• Cloud Proficiency: Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or a comparable cloud provider.
• Leadership: Demonstrated capability to manage external engineers, see complex projects through to completion, and manage shifting workloads.
• Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Location: Must currently live in or be willing to relocate to NYC for a fully in-person, collaborative environment.
