DevOps Engineer

Position Description: Seneca Resources is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a high-profile federal technology program in Washington, DC. This is a 100% onsite opportunity supporting mission-critical infrastructure and cloud environments for a federal customer. We are looking for engineers who thrive in highly secure environments and have hands-on experience building, automating, and maintaining modern infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, Linux administration, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation technologies. This team has an expedited interview process, and strong candidates are being prioritized for immediate consideration., * Design, deploy, and maintain containerized applications using Kubernetes.

• Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and system administration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools.
• Administer and support AWS cloud environments, ensuring performance, availability, and security.
• Manage Linux and Windows Server environments through automation and scripting.
• Implement and maintain security best practices across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application issues across development and production environments.
• Collaborate with software engineers, system administrators, and security teams in an Agile environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

• Active Top Secret Clearance (required before start date).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Systems Administration, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience administering AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
• Experience with Linux administration.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation.
• Experience supporting secure enterprise infrastructure in a collaborative technical environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation and configuration management tools including:
• Ansible
• Chef
• Puppet
• AWS Systems Manager
• Experience with scripting using Bash, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as:
• GitLab CI
• GitHub Actions
• Jenkins
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools including:
• Terraform
• AWS CloudFormation
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience supporting highly secure federal or DoD environments.
